Not your average corner store!
I love a menu that gets straight to the point. I also love when a corner store/bodega is clean and well organized! The Brown Bag Sandwich Co. luckily has both.
The owners created a chopped sandwich menu based around classic NYC sandwiches. They focus on house-made meats to ensure that their product is quality, consistent, and accessible.
Of course, on the day I went, their stove wasn’t working so we couldn’t order any of the hot sandwiches. Definitely need to come back and try the Anthony Bourdain! But we had the Italian sandwich, which was SUPERB. Italians are probably one of my favorite kinds of sandwiches tbh. And we also tried the Chicken Caesar wrap, which was okaaaay, but not my personal fave.
