❖ Gallagher’s
This is a family favorite. My dad always requests we get a steak at Gallagher’s every time he’s in town from CA. I love coming here before or after a Broadway show – it’s right next door to MJ – and their lunch special is such a steal. Don’t forget to check out their infamous meat locker!

❖ Union Square Café
I was just here with friends/clients and was reminded how incredible the service is. Our waitress knew everything on the menu and was able to tell us exactly why certain dishes were her favorite and then on top of that, the food was top notch. Great central location too!
Union Square Cafe
❖ Mimi’s
This Italian restaurant/jazz bar will always have a special place in my heart because this is where I drank until the wee hours of the night with the owner and locals right before Covid got bad and NYC had a curfew. But if you want Italian food and a great place to people watch, Mimi’s is the spot.

❖ Totto Ramen
I’ve lived on the east side and west side of Manhattan, but I’m always within 1-2 blocks from a Totto Ramen! LOL. This is randomly by chance, but I’m thrilled about it because it’s my favorite ramen spot. Especially during the cold winter months, their miso bowls slap so hard.

❖ 4 Charles Prime Rib
The only way I’m able to eat here is because I have a friend of a friend who has a table for 4 every Friday at 6 PM. Psst – I need more friends like this!! It’s extremely hard to get a reservation, but if you’re able to get one the burger is divine and get it as an appetizer that everyone can split! That way you can have the prime rib as your main, which is also *chef’s kiss*.

❖ La Goulue
I went to their Palm Beach location first, and I was thrilled to find out they have another location in the Upper East Side! One of my favorite French restaurants in the city. During lunch, they also serve sushi if you’re not a huge French food fan, but the escargot and steak au poivre are my go-to items.

❖ Hwa Yuan Szechuan
True story, I went to this place because I saw Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone eating here LOL. But I’ve been a few times and if you’re looking for a spot in Chinatown where the staff won’t rush you so they can turn the table to the next party, Hwa Yuan is fantastic. You MUST try the duck!

❖ Palma
I finally tried Palma, and it’s SO charming with their fresh cut flowers everywhere, including the bathrooms! They are known for their classic Italian dishes, which are crafted from organic ingredients. They also have a fabulous garden, and their space is great for private dinners/events!

❖ Minetta Tavern
My family and I went here on Halloween night at 11 PM, which was quite an experience since the Halloween Parade goes right by here – obvi, tons of people in costume! But we still had a great meal with 10/10 service! If you dig French food, then you must stop by!

❖ Au Cheval
Sometimes you just want to sit in a darker/dimly lit restaurant and eat a great burger. That place would be Au Cheval. The restaurant’s burger has been recognized by many publications (including Eater, Business Insider, and Food Network) and is named one of the best in the country!
